SHSC win the Festival Trophy
St.Helens Swimming Club successfully defended the Festival Trophy on Sunday 26th April 2009 at Woolston gaining 26 First place finishes in the process. The team were pushed close by Halton SC with St.Helens eventually triumphing due to a strong finish in the closing relays. The gala was held over 50 events comprising 11 and under, 13 and under, 15 and under and open age, with the team captains, Patrick Loughnane and Alice Harrison leading by example with crucial victories needed to retain the trophy.
Result:
1st - St.Helens SC 238 pts 2nd - Halton SC 216 pts 3rd - Warrington ’A’ 198 pts
